Thank You to Boss

I know I've worked hard
And I know you've taught me well;
But to put me forward for that job
Well that is really swell!!

A Thank You sounds quite pitiful
My quality of life increased;
It's all down to your support
And my effort last not least.

There were others in the mix
But you had that last word;
That put me at the top
My inspiration stirred.

I know that I cause problems
My complicated life at home;
You've helped me beyond all
More than anyone has known.

Things are now improving
Your patience will be repaid;
As rotas are now sorted
The best boss not betrayed.

Times are hard right now
The economics are going down;
So Thank You once again
For helping me not to drown.

Has far outweighed my past;
Thank s to you I will
Actually qualify at last.

This job is a serious one
But you don't let it get you down;
You encourage the rest of us
To never wear a frown.

That's the sign of a boss

Who is human too;
Not wrapped up in paperwork
As many of them do.

So Thank You as it makes our lives
Easier to cope with now;

If there's a boss of the year
Hands down you've got it now!

All work and no play
Makes Jack a dull boy;
Not too serious is your motto
And it isn't a ploy.

Your word is your bond
And we give you our best;
Working flat around the clock
Time off is a bit of a rest.

Machines can go on and on
We work from a different score;
This is our lives and we serve
Never do you ask for more.

Self Employed

I am my own boss
I am glad that I am;
Because I do my best
Every inch that I can.

Am I kind to myself
Not too often;
Am I gentle with my words
Not really as I should;
If there were other employees
I most probably rightly would.
