Thank you so much for the lovely gift
It is really just the very job;
It matches well our taste and color
We hope you didn't need a bank to rob.

The gifts have been amusing
Well thought out for the special day it is;
Pottery and willow was number nine
Alluminium and tin should get you in a tis.

The gifts have overwhelmed
There's silver everywhere;
We are thrilled with every thing
All we do is stand and stare.

Our hearts are full of thankfulness
We're richer than we thought;
Every piece is full of love
All these gifts lovingly bought.

We've married on our anniversary
To renew each and every vow;
As all of them are stronger
Meaning so much more now

Everyone has come out today
To wish us well in marriage;
To throw things at us when we laughed
Whilst in our horse and carriage.

Today has been a day that dreams are made of
All of you made them come true;
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts
We love everyone of you.

Some anniversaries are sad
And some are very happy;
There are those glad to survive
When the surgeon made it snappy.

So bypassing your beating heart
Didn't go to your head;
You've now had 12 extra years
Retired sitting on a sofa bed.

Happy Anniversary to you
You're looking better than before;
It's a great day for one and all
Letting you know we love you more.

We measure our lives in memories
Passing a test or riding a bike;
Remembering more the happy ones
Forgetting the ones we didn't like.

They're all part and parcel though
They make us who we are;
So thanks to the heavens above
We live to bare the scars.

Very special celebrations
An anniversary of cure;
I've passed my five years clearance
No more chemo to endure.

I thank you all for believing
Instilling faith in me;
I'm happy to live to tell the tale
I'm sure it's that green tea.
