Poetry
There are times when we have to rhyme
There are plenty of times we don't;
It doesn't matter what kind you want
Or whatever sort you don't.
You can just let it flow
And say just what you will;
As long as it makes you feel
Then let it flow until.
Words are very powerful
They can hurt more than people think;
We don't forget what's said to us
Or make us feel we're in the pink.

I want to Thank You Mom and Dad
You've been great to me all the time;
Even in our ups and downs
And all I ever did was whine.
You've shown me many good things
About how decent people live;
The rules they live and act on
What makes a family thrive.
That's what you were there for
To give me all the tools;
So that I could be a good person
And not be to much of a fool.

Grandma and Grandad
You two are something else;
Your kindness has meant so much to me
Always funny and always free.
You've given me your time
As that's what you've got;
In other ways
You haven't got a lot.
You've made my life a good one
You've helped me reach out and dream;
You've held my high hopes high
And you know just what I mean.

You are like a brother to me
A different family from my own;
I don't understand just how close
We two seem to have grown.
Really though if Adam and Eve
Were the first two here;
Then we all come from them somehow
So bloodline we do share.
Thank you for being my brother and my best friend!

My oldest friend lives next door
I'm twelve and he's sixty-four;
He's taught me how to grow
The vegetables and sow.
He's taught me to be patient
And quiet quite by accident;
As we discovered all sorts growing
Whilst we were out there mowing.
Look around who's in your life
There's high life and there's low life;
Don't bother about being cool
Just be aware and go to school.

A good neighbour can be anyone
When you're walking down the street;
Things can happen and go wrong
You're never sure just who you'll meet.

I want a poem for my Mom
To say Thank You for being you;
She always says she loves me
And I love her very much too.

Teacher
There are many teachers out there
Who wouldn't do what you did;
Extra free tuition times when
You had other things to do, you hid.
You gave yourself in all you did
That meant so much to me;
I gave you my full attention
Now I've passed all successfully.
